Job Summary Oversees and directs all Quality Assurance activities which include managing relationships with customers and addressing their quality needs, suppliers and their material quality and quality systems, internal processes and materials.
Responsible for hiring, employee training, work assignments, performance evaluations and any necessary disciplinary action.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Communicate with customers:
on the ability to meet specifications, request necessary exceptions, and to propose specifications where needed.
Address all customer complaints expeditiously and follows through with corrective action when necessary.
Communicates with suppliers to:
set material and/or process specifications, approve alternative suppliers, identify key material or process metrics, and set improvement goals.
Determine material re-qualification procedures.
Communicates within the organization on the ability to meet customer requirements and specifications.
Works with departmental managers to meet all company objectives and to set and measure improvement goals.
Maintains the organizations processes and procedures within ISO requirements.
Has the final authority to determine disposition of material.
Responsible for material certification.
An active member of the plant's Pipeline Management Team.
Responsible for the training of all Quality Assurance personnel.
Is the Norplex-Micarta ISO Representative.
Achieving and maintaining the ability to properly test materials and/or processes.
Ensures that all established safety rules are followed.
Responsible for Management Review presentations.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum:
Bachelor Degree.
Management experience preferred.
